The story is so nice. Story, dialog and and lyrics are written by Kamal Haasan. He has proven his excellency once again. The whole story is around an actress. Trisha's role is in Manmathan Ambu is an actress. Madhavan is her fiancée. But, he has doubt that Trisha had sex with her co actor, that is Surya. So, Madhavan send Kamal Haasan as a detective to follow Trisha. Trisha goes on a trip to Cruise with her friend and her children.
Kamal Haasan role is a Indian army Major. He follows Trisha and he helps her to get her lost purse and passport, but without exposing him to her. Kamal's friend has got cancer and need to receive chemo therapy and then surgery. So, he needs a lot of money. That's the reason why Kamal follows Trisha. So that he can get money from Madhavan.
But, as Kamal give a A+ certificate about Trisha, Madhavan refuses to pay him. Then the story gear ups. Kamal says lies that Trisha goes with other guys. So, Madhavan extend the agreement and pay the hospital bills.
In between these Trisha get to know that Kamal's wife had passed away and the reason for that is an accident in which she had involved. Also, a producer with his wife are being around Trisha to get call sheet.
Later, Madhavan decide to terminate the relationship between him and Trisha. Also he goes to Venice to see her. But, Kamal, Sangeetha, and those producer and his wife, plan to cheat Madhavan.
In the climax, how this cheat was neutralized and who join with whom is the end. Manmathan Ambu is a full time comedy entertainer.
Surya acts as an actor and dance a song with Trisha in the opening of the film. Oviya comes as Madhavan's cousin. All the characters have done their job well. specially the kid did very well.
A song was shot with a new idea. I have never seen such idea in any films before. You might have seen a small portion of scene running backward. But, in Manmathan Ambu, they have shot an entire song backward. It was a good thrilling to imagine the scene again in forward direction.
Music for the entire film was good, including the songs. In Manmathan Ambu, Sri Lankan Tamil is also used. Some unique words were used to show that they use Sri Lankan Tamil. That was so nice.
Most part of the film were shot in the cruise. As Ravikumar said earlier, the ship has many rooms in many floors. It has swimming pool, Gum, Restaurant, and much more. You will surely feel that at least for one day you need to stay in that ship.
It is must be stated that in Manmathan Ambu, Kamal has written the story, screen play, dialog and lyrics. There is a scene in that Trisha and Kamal read poem in a song style. That was very nice. Everyone in the theater clapped when they finished that poem. Lyrics were so good.
There is a kissing scene too... A girl and boy (lovers) kisses. This scene is taken in a camera. That's how that scene goes. It was like looking at a semy-durty site. but, not much shown. This scene is also acceptable to be seen by your kids.
