The Hindi hit film Three Idiots is going to be remade in Tamil and Telugu languages. The Hindi version of Three Idiots had Amir Khan, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor and Boman Irani in the cast.

Gemini Film Circuit has acquired the remake rights of Three idiots to be made in Tamil and Telugu. The film is directed by director K. Shankar in Tamil. He is directing this film after the super duper hit movie Endhiran, still running in the house full in some cinemas.

The Tamil version of the Three Idiots is titled as Nanban. This film has Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth in the cast. Vijay is attracting the role of Amir Khan in the original version. Jeeva is doing the role Madhavan did in Hindi 3 idiots. Srikanth will play Sharman Joshi's role. Ileana is the heroine and she will pair with Vijay. Sathyaraj is doing the role of a professor, which was done by Boman Irani.

The Telugu version will have Mahesh Babu in the leading role. Ileana does the female lead role. The Telugu version of 3 idiots is titled as Rascals.

Vairamuthu's son Mathan Karki is going to write the lyrics. Mathan Karki also wrote the lyrics of Endhiran movie with others. He was part of a team. He also wrote 2 poems for Rajinikanth's Endhiran.

Shankar is in the news for his next film is a remake of the Hindi film 3 Idiots. There has been much speculation about the cast and crew for quite sometime now. The current update is that Vijay, Illeana and Jeeva attached to act in the film. Now it is said that Shankar and the crew will get the ball rolling of Tamil 3 Idiots set from December 5, 2010.

It is also rumored that the team intends to do recordings in Dehradun, where the original version was shot. So it seems that it is indeed a remake ... literally!

Shankar is currently busy in remaking the super hit Hindi film Three Idiots. Vijay is doing the lead role in the Tamil version of 3 idiots. There is news that after completing this film, a film that will have Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan will be directed by Shankar.

When Kamal Haasan was asked about this, he said, "You told Rajni and I will act in a high budgeted film produced at a price of Rs 500 Crores and will be directed by Shankar.

Further he said that "We plan to FIKKI Media Conference in Hyderabad to be held on the 1st and 2nd December.

Two thousand delegates will attend this conference. The film industry is very badly affected because of video piracy. This can not be prevented by politicians or movie people. Only the public can prevent this. This can only be avoided by people if they decide not to watch pirated DVDs."
