Vadivelu loves his mother. If no shooting for two days, he will rush to Madurai to see his mother. He will be at peace only after two days with her and eating the food cooked by her.

Vadivelu avoids especially sheep and chicken items. He's crazy after idly and coriander chutney. He take only chapattis for dinner.

He is so fond of long car ride in his Swift.

If he is unable to go to his hometown, he goes to his farm in Padapai and speaks to the mango and coconut trees. He will have the satisfaction of going to his hometown.

Vadivelu can be seen in different costumes in the movies, but in his personal life he wears simple clothes. Sometimes it is so simple that it can not be identified. He will never miss out on Saturday wearing black clothes and yellow dress on Thursday.

As one of his employees committed errors, he will explain the problems he has faced at this stage to reach. If Vadivelu learns that this person has realized his mistake, he will immediately say: 'Do not use me for comedy, "and that person laugh.

He has the habit of meeting his friends at his office. When good friends, he will steer away from the other and sing the old songs without any error. He is so fond of singing songs written by Kannadasan for MGR.

Vadivelu used to mimic how his family will talk to him when he goes to his hometown. Only his closest friends are lucky enough to enjoy this mimicry.
