Vijay
Pongal festival season 2011 is getting over crowded in Tamil cinema, as four major films trying to get theater dates. They are Vijay's Kavalan, Dhanush's Aadukalam, Karthi's Siruthai and PA Vijay's Ilaignan written by Chief Minister Karunanidhi. Sun Pictures have confirmed the maximum number of screens for their Vetrimaran's Aadukalam. Ilaignan marketing is taken over by Red Giants, which will make sure the theaters. Studio Green's Siruthai has advantage as they confirmed many screens in November. Now Kavalan has not even started booking screens for the best festival time, but already blocked by others.

These days a big film releases in about 250 to 300 theaters in Tamil Nadu, which claims to have around 1500 screens. But in reality there are only 925 screens suitable for screening. In short Aadukalam, Siruthai and Ilaignan will corner all primes screens especially in small cities like Madurai, Salem and Tirunelveli. Added to these all films, Kamal Haasan's Manmadhan Ambu, Red Giant's own house production will be released for Christmas on December 23. In large centers, the movie can not be stopped 21 days after the release for Pongal releases. This means that the festival time is even harder to give theaters to Kavalan movie.

Meanwhile Sakthi Chidambaram is the man to sort out many unresolved issues of marketing Kavalan with theater association in Tamil Nadu. The producer of Malayalam, Bodyguard Johnny Sagirika has also filed legal complaint that he was not paid for the remake rights in Tamil (Kavalan is a remake of Bodyguard) by its director Siddique. But in the film industry can turn the tide in a few minutes and if all goes well the film has a chance to be released on Pongal.

Vijay and Asin in Kaavalan
The movie Kaavalan release is in trouble with some problems. Kaavalan is a upcoming Tamil movie in which Vijay and Asin are in lead roles. Siddique has directed the film Kavalan. The last time, when Vijay's Sura was released, Vijay has been exposed to lots of problems. Since his film Sura did not do well in box office, the theater owners demanding compensation for their loss.

They are also protesting that they will not release his new films including Kaavalan. Now Vijay is unable to find theaters for the release of his film Kaavalan. The film Kaavalan was to be released within a few days. This movie should be released during this month, December 2010.

But when Kamal Haasan starer Manmadhan Ambu will be released on 23 December, 2010, it was announced that Kaavalan will be released for Pongal. But again another problem has risen to Kaavalan because Kalaignar's Ilaignyan, Karthi's Siruthai and Dhanush's Aadukalam being released on Pongal day. So, Kaavalan has to compete with those films.

Theaters are already booked for these films. Because of this Kaavalan is not getting theaters. Now a question has been raised, when will Kaavalan will be released? Who knows it?

Kaavalan
Director Siddique gives the guarantee that you can see Vijay in this film in old style like the films Kadhalukku Mariyadhai and Poove Unakkaga.

There is no powerful punch dialogues in this movie for Vijay. A good improvement in Vijay's carrier.

Vadivelu and Vijay's comedy combo will be ribs rippling. There will be scenes similar to the movie Friends in which both of them acted.

A racy fight sequence was shot in Bangkok. Martial Arts Master in Thailand said, "Usually Indian actors will use to dupe the stunt scenes. But Vijay surprised me without using a dupe." He has given a shield to Vijay.

Some pucca fight sequences were shot in the moving train at Mettupalayam. In one scene Vijay jumped off the train, which nobody had expected. So when the crew asked him why he did it, he said, "If I had mentioned that I'll jump, you would not have allowed me. Therefore, I am surprisingly jumped."

When the shooting took place in Mettupalayam, which used to be the audience to watch the footage. Vijay used to talk to them with mike.

The shooting of a song sequence was also observed in a dense forest in Poona. So all of them camped in a tent in the woods. One night, lots of snakes began to visit the tents. The crew was alarmed. But Vijay boldly said that he would sleep with crews in the tent.

A song composed by Vidhyasagar was shot in mid-ocean in Malaysia. So they traveled each day 30 km in a boat to the middle of the ocean.

Raj Kiran who came to the dubbing was very emotional after watching some scenes. Only after three hours, he has come normality and have called.

Right from the beginning of Kaavalan were Asin's call sheet problem. As Siddique said that she would be fit for the role Vijay had patiently acted in this film to give account to the director.

Director Siddique said: "The last 20 minutes climactic scene will be emotional and sensational, like in the movie Kadhal Kottai. Enjoy Vijay has returned to his old formula."

Mitra - acting in Kaavalan
When Mitra who is acting in the Vijay's film Kavalan was asked about pairing with Vijay. She said: "I never expected this. There are thousands of fans for Vijay in Kerala. There are many fans of Vijay in the college where I study. When Vijay films are released here, they are released in Kerala on the same day. Because of this we will never miss his movies.

What a great opportunity I got to act with Vijay. My friends are very excited to see Kaavalan. Many wonder whether I am putting vampires in this film. I am attracting the role of friend of the heroine, Asin. But I will have a deep love with the hero Vijay in my heart. But at the right time I will reveal my love for him. I avoid that my friend's love for him. That way I will hold my hero.

At that moment, I am the heroine. The climax after this will give me a vamp. Until then, Asin is not the heroine. I am the only heroine. My favorite heroes are Rajni, Kamal, Vijay and Surya."

Mitra is from Cochin. Although this girl is new to Tamil she has already acted in six Malayalam films. Not only this, she has also acted as a friend of Nayanthara in Body Guard, which is now being remade in Tamil with the title Kaavalan. In Tamil she is attracting the same role.

Kaavalan : Asin and Vijay

Vijay and Asin have the leading roles in Kaavalan, which is a remake of the Malayalam super hit movie Body Guard, which had Dhilip and Nayanthara in the lead roles. Siddique who directed the Malayalam film is directing the Tamil version also. Vidhyasagar has composed the music for Kaavalan.

Vidhyasagar composed a beautiful melody song for Kaavalan and Siddique wanted this song a reel before the climax scene of Kaavalan. But Vijay prefered a Kuthu a song than the melody there. But, Siddique insisted the song melody song.

But ultimately, the editor sorted this issue by saying that no song is needed at that point. But the latest news is that Vijay and Asin had danced for a song which is melody type in the hill region of Pune.

But the unit members of Kaavalan refused to say where this song will be included in the film. The film is to hit the screens in December 2010.
